Fall
-the season of Thanksgiving for all the summers bounty, and the perfect season to mark a third and final miracle.
Miracle #3
To recap quickly, I was diagnosed with Stage 3B ER and PR positive, invasive ductal breast cancer in January of 2011. I want to stress the largest mass of cancer was the size of a mandarine orange at 8cm x 6cm! The aggressiveness of my cancer was 95%, so it was growing minute by minute. The cancer had also spread to a few lymph nodes, so I was extremely scared.
I'm not telling my story to frighten people with cancer, but rather to prove there is absolutely hope for any case out there. If I can survive without a recurrence, then anyone can! I want to share what I've experienced and learned so I can help others. My story could potentially help many people.
Sometime in the fall of 2011, I was busy in the kitchen preparing breakfast for my children as I usually did. My oldest daughter Sadie had just turned 11 years old, my second daughter Genavieve was 8 years old, and my twin girls were just 4 years old. For those growing little bodies I always tried to give them fruit with breakfast, and today I had some raspberries waiting in the fridge.

My mind was on autopilot and I was simply going through the motions of the morning. There was a brief pause in my children's chatter as I grabbed and opened the raspberry clamshell for rinsing. That's when I recognized the Voice. It was the same calm clear Voice that told me I had many years to live. This time the Voice said,
"You need to eat those"
I wasn't in any sort of meditative or even contemplative state of mind when I received this message. I am extremely embarrassed yet compelled to share my shockingly rude response to this suggestion. My internal voice shot back " I don't want to", before I even had time to process what had just happened! My children starting chattering away again so I didn't have time to think anything. I just scurried about in my normal morning mania, getting them ready for school.
Sadie and Genavieve took the bus, but I had to drive the twins- Delia and Maeve, to preschool. Finally, about an hour later I was able to take the time to analyze and digest the third miracle that had just occurred. I had been given a directive by the Voice!

I immediately went to the fridge and opened a new clamshell of raspberries- this time for my own consumption. You see I rarely ate the fresh raspberries myself because they are relatively expensive for just a small portion. I always saved them for my growing children thinking they would benefit from fresh berries more than I would. Apparently I was wrong!

Very curious about what I might discover, I Googled the words "raspberries, cancer" on my computer. I was blown away when I came upon an article touting the benefits of raspberries for not just cancer -but breast cancer! This Voice absolutely knew what it was talking about. Clearly a higher power was telling me what to eat to survive breast cancer.
So now I try to eat at least half a container of fresh raspberries everyday, carefully chewing the seeds where the highest concentration of Ellagic Acid is found. If I don't have any fresh raspberries on hand I just sprinkle some raspberry seed powder on whatever food I'm eating that day.

When perusing the health food stores and supplements section in the local supermarket, there are very few products using raspberries. For some reason pomegranate, and acai berries are the latest craze, but raspberries haven't seemed to made their mark. Ellagic acid is the anti-cancer agent, and it is present in raspberries, blackberries, and pomegranate, however it is perhaps the highest in raspberry seeds (different sources seem to tout different concentrations).
Raspberry seed powder is fabulous if you don't want to be buying fresh raspberries all the time, or need a supplement when raspberries aren't in season. I bring this powder on vacation with me and just sprinkle it on my peanut butter and jam toast. You can add it to smoothies, or anything really. The seeds can handle high temperatures so you can add the powder to baked goods too-such as brownies.
The first miracle I experienced was a Vision of Jesus, and my second and third miracles were both a higher Voice speaking to me. Everyone reading this will draw their own conclusions but there's no doubt in my mind that all 3 miracles were from a higher spiritual realm. I am beyond thankful for the amazing blessings I've been privileged to receive as it has saved my life. I pray this article and knowledge can spread, saving even more lives.
